The Pin Chasers Knight Parade is part of the annual Gasparilla celebration, which has taken place every year since 1972 and is considered the largest of its kind in the Southeast.
Attracting spectators of every age, the entire Ybor City area of Tampa comes to life the night of The Pin Chasers Knight Parade.
The Parade itself is a colorful celebration of civic pride, beaming with illuminated floats, costumed participants, plenty of music, dancing in the streets, and lots and lots of BEADS.
Its rich heritage attracts families and adults young and old alike to join in the revelry. A true Tampa Bay tradition, over 110,000 spectators and more than 7500 participants turned out for the 2011 event.
The Krewe of the Knights of Sant' Yago's largest fundraiser of the year, a portion of the parade proceeds benefit the Krewe of Sant' Yago Education Foundation, now in its 17th year. The Foundation has contributed in excess of $1,000,000 to endow scholarships at local Colleges and Universities.
